Credit By Exam

External examinations for which credit may be granted will include but not be limited to: Advanced Placement (AP) Program examinations of the College Entrance Examinations Board; general and subject College Level Examination Program (CLEP); the International Baccalaureate (IB) Examinations; and Cambridge International Examinations.

AP credit

WSU awards credit for scores of 3 or higher on College Board Advanced Placement (AP) exams. See a list of AP exam credits awarded by WSU.

IB credit

WSU awards credit for International Baccalaureate (IB) Higher Level and Standard Level exams with a score of 4 or better. See a current list of IB exam credits awarded by WSU.

CLEP credit

WSU awards credit for qualifying scores on CLEP exams. See the CLEP table for exams accepted, scores needed, and credit awarded.

Cambridge International Exams

WSU awards credit for qualifying scores on Cambridge Advanced (A) and Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Level exams. See the Cambridge table for exams accepted, scores needed, and credit awarded.

Please Note: WSU does not accept credit by examination as transcripted by other institutions. Students must provide official score reports to WSU.
